Story Telling
Rob Brockman has been telling stories for 40 years, starting with the theatre. He progressed from acting to directing, although sometimes doing both, but his passion has always been for writing. Moving to the UK, he ran his own theatre and wrote and directed a dozen plays.
Theatre to Film
The rise of independent films encouraged him to move to script-writing and film production. He adapted his writing, directing and acting skills and applied fringe-theatre discipline to budgets and scale. His first two films are of television episode length, rather than conventional ‘shorts’. The aim is to present touching, entertaining stories, with saleable content, to the highest standard. Mixing professional skills with local talent has lent authenticity and enabled Pépieux Pictures to punch well above its funding weight.
Current Project
Our current Project, Ignite, marks a move into commercial feature film territory with an all-star cast, highly experienced crew and an award-winning director.
